BADOR respects the privacy of its users (“you”). This Privacy Policy has been established to show our commitment to your personal data.

All personal data are in accordance to the Act of 29 August 1997 on the Protection of Personal Data (Dz. U. 2018, poz. 138, 723 ze zm.) as well as Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) as published on the Official Journal of the European Union of 4.5.2016 L 119/1 (later – GDPR),

By using our website or the SeaMan’sBook App (our “Service”), you hereby accept the Privacy Policy terms.

  1. Data administrator, under the Act, is BADOR registered in Poland and subjected to its law, based in Słupsk 76-200, M. Jastruna 1 Street, NIP: 8392582715 (“the Administrator”).

    The only personal information we collect is the information that you supply when you register to use this service and the career information that you add to your personal profile once you are registered. Like most website operators, BADOR collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request.

    All web site servers record the IP address of your user session together with the type of operating system and browser version you are using. IP addresses can be analyzed to establish the Internet Service Provider you are using and the country you are connecting from but do not identify you individually. For security and technical support purposes, the date/time and IP address of your user session is logged with your record when you register or login.

  2. Personal data is processed by the Administrator according to proper legal regulations, including the Act and the Act on Rendering Electronic Services, in order to secure the full use of SeaMan’sBook functionality. We can use gathered information to: deliver and develop our products and service; carry out surveys and analyses referring to the use of the App; communicate with you; analyze the website and the App itself; enforce the rules listed in the Terms of Use; perform the services specified at a time of collecting data.

  3. BADOR undertakes to select and verify the processing of personal data with a manner fully compliant with the requirements of the GDPR. This is to ensure that the entity that processes personal data provides sufficient guarantees to implement appropriate organizational and technical measures to ensure security and the implementation of the rights of the individual and other data protection obligations incumbent on BADOR.

  4. Taking into account the need to ensure the highest level of personal data protection, in particular, the data of its clients for whom services are provided, BADOR has adopted the minimum requirements with regards to the content and terms of the contract necessary to safeguard the processing of personal data.

  5. BADOR will inform, advise and monitor compliance. The company will implement tools as appropriate that support the process, provide the necessary security and ongoing delivery of objectives. Where necessary, BADOR undertakes to intervene and account for the entities that process personal data in order to satisfy personal data protection rules.

  6. BADOR in concluding agreements for safeguarding the processing of personal data, as mentioned before, gathers their originals and, if necessary, makes them available to supervisory authorities that are entitled to inspect them on demand.

  7. On account of the nature of the company ’s  operation, specific professional expectations as well as the commitment to maintain a high level of trust of its clients for whom legal services are provided, BADOR does not export data outside the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

  8. In order to ensure that there is no unauthorized export or leak of personal data, BADOR implements company-wide periodical verifications of personnel’s activities.

  9. In order to ensure compliance with the GDPR requirements and adequate level of safeguards for the protection of personal data, BADOR prepares and implements internal documentation ensuring the protection of personal data in accordance with this Policy.

  10. This documentation serves as the actual implementation of the Policy and as such is separate from it. The documentation referred to herein is created, implemented, stored and, if necessary, made available for the inspection to the competent supervisory authorities.

    BADOR’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how BADOR’s visitors use SeaMan’sBook website and mobile application. Occasionally, BADOR may release non-personally- identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website and mobile application.

  11. Where services are provided through the “Seaman’s Book” app, the contact Users’ personal data are processed in accordance with the art. 6 para. 1 of the GDPR.

  12. You have the right to withdraw at any time his/ her consent to the processing of personal data by BADOR Beata Syska Godlewska. Nonetheless, the withdrawal of consent has no legal implications on the prior lawful processing of one’s personal data.

  13. In accordance with the GDPR, You have the right to access one’s personal data (art.15 of the GDPR), has the right to rectify one’s personal data (art. 16 of the GDPR), has the right to delete one’s personal data also known as “the right to be forgotten” (art. 17 of the GDPR), has the right to limit the processing of personal data (art. 18 of the GDPR), has the right to transfer personal data (art. 20 of the GDPR) and has the right to object (art. 21 of the GDPR) as well as to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

  14. Although we do not collect personal data, the data is sent as a response to specific job advertisements placed by the Agents are being transmitted through our servers. The information of home country defined by you during the process of registration (“country” box in registration form) and using of SeaMan’sBook App (“CV/passport” tab in your personal profile settings) will be used only to provide you personalized job advertisements specified and addressed to country you selected or worldwide.

  15. BADOR may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its website and mobile application. However, BADOR does not disclose personally-identifying information.

  16. If you register for any of the services we provide, you are not anonymous to us. However, any personal details you enter are only available to other registered users on a need to know basis and under your direct control. We may contact you with essential information relating to your user account or changes to the web site. We may also contact you periodically to confirm that you wish to maintain your user account and that your registered e-mail address is still valid.

  17. In order to provide you with easy access to your account, we use scripts and collect the data that enables us to recognize you as the account holder and provide you with direct access to your account without requiring you to retype any password, account details or other user identification when you revisit SeaMan’sBook website or/and mobile application using another devices.

    If you share or otherwise allow others to have access to user account, they will be able to see some of your personal information. Same way, if you do not maintain the security of your password or device or fail to logout or deactivate your device, subsequent users may be able to access to your user account. We accept no liability for any damages caused by improper protection of the account by the user.

  18. All communications between you and the web site server are encrypted during transmission and cannot be viewed by anyone else over the Internet. We have security policies, rules and technical measures in place to protect the personal data that we have under our control from unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification, unlawful destruction or accidental loss. We also have procedures in place to ensure that only the owner of the e-mail address used to register is able to create a personal profile on the database. We will not disclose your personal information to anyone unless we are required to do so by law.

  19. A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. BADOR uses cookies to help identify and track visitors, their usage of SeaMan’sBook website, and their website access preferences. Those visitors, who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers, should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using SeaMan’sBook website, with the drawback that certain features of the website may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

  20. Although most changes are likely to be minor, BADOR may occasionally change its Privacy Policy, and in BADORS’s sole discretion. We encourage visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
